According to a study in Telematics and Informatics, selfie-related conflicts are on the rise. Researchers tracked the social media use of hundreds of adults and how it affected their relationships.

Jealousy levels increased with the number of selfies posted online. The relationship was negatively affected by these posts. The more selfies someone posted the more likely they're trying to create an idealized person.
